The Irish Summer Camp is an opportunity to experience Gaeilge and the spoken word by engaging in a range of fun activities. The focus is on speaking Gaeilge for the week. Every encouragement is given to students to do this. One of the most popular activities that students enjoy is learning to bake “as Gaeilge”.

Students compete for prizes during the week and the week finishes on a high note with prize giving after the X Factor final “as Gaeilge” of course.
(The material used each week in the Irish Camp varies to keep it interesting for students attending more than one week).
Students are grouped according to their class in primary school
(1st & 2nd classes) Wk 2
(3rd & 4th classes) Wk 1 Wk 5
(5th & 6th classes) Wk 3 Wk 4 Wk 6 Wk 7
All activities “as Gaeilge” are suited to the specific class groups

Week 2: Monday, 8th July – Friday, 12th July – 1st & 2nd Class
Week 3: Monday, 15th July – Friday, 19th July – 5th & 6th Class
Week 4: Monday, 22nd July – Friday, 26th July – 5th & 6th Class
Week 5: Monday, 29th July – Friday, 2nd August – 3rd & 4th Class
Week 6: Tuesday, 6th August – Friday, 9th August – 5th & 6th Class
Week 7: Monday, 12th August – Friday, 16th August – 5th & 6th Class

Columbus Club Cancellation Policy:
Columbus Club will make a full refund in the event of a cancellation if an email or text is received three weeks before the start date of the week your child was scheduled to start the camp.
For any cancellations sought within the three-week period please note that refunds will not be made.
